Log Me In

Found out how this little gem has helped us recently.

One of the finds for us this month has been logmein.com. Many times we have been faced with the impossible - trying to understand what it is that is causing users problems. Whether it is a client having trouble with their email configuration, or perhaps they are seeing something completely different to yourself in their browser. LogMeIn.com provides you, for free, with the means to log on to your computer using just a browser and a plug in. It is really easy to set up. We have managed to, over the phone, get even the most technophobe of user to set up the remote end of the plugin. The LogMeIn site provides simple on screen instructions on what needs to be done. Of course there are security issues, but they have thought of this. You set up a key on the remote computer that prevents anybody else from logging on. Once the plug-in has been installed and you have set up your account you can simply connect to the remote PC by choosing it from a list. For more information or if you want to try out the product for yourself, have a look at the LogMeIn website:
