2013 sees Motor Sport Magazine’s fourth annual Hall of Fame awards. For the first time ever readers of Motor Sport Magazine will be able take in part in the glittering, invitation-only Hall of Fame evening. From now up until midnight 24th February, readers can bid online for a variety of once-in-a-lifetime lots donated by Formula 1 teams. The lots will include Sebastian Vettel’s steering wheel, Jenson Button’s McLaren race seat and two British Grand Prix VIP “Paddock Club“ passes.
The auction is in aid of a good cause, with all proceeds raised going to The Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust. The charity is committed to maintaining safety and welfare standards for current and former Grand Prix mechanics, and provides a support network for mechanics in need of assistance.
“The addition of a charity auction in aid of the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust, with items donated by Formula 1 teams, will make our prestigious night even more special. For a magazine with such a rich heritage, a partnership with a charity that does so much for the unsung heroes of our sport was an obvious decision to make,” says the magazine’s editor Damien Smith.
